Even when you resist poison, bees hurt. R.I.P. Frost, HuIE. But the
other options besides trying the Hive were the Mines, ruled out by
lack of access to a down stairs or any means of digging/teleport, and
facing a FE ghost when I had nothing better than trying to throw a
handful of ice bolts at him while he toasted me good. No wands, no
non-cold-based offense to speak of (plain melee weapons, darts). So I
tried the Hive, ducked out with some bees, got into a corridor and
still couldn't survive them.
