[Crawl] Light/heavy armour confusion

I think it's Loonie who keeps pointing out that light armour is that
which has an EV of -1 or more, and anything from EV:-2 downward is
heavy (light armour being the stuff that trains Dodging, and heavy
armour being the stuff that trains the Armour skill), except I just
found an artifact troll armour that is EV:-1 and I thought troll
armour is heavy. Is it or is it not?

AFAIK Troll armour\hides are exception from this rule and are heavy.

PS "Elven" armour is always light, but no Elven troll armour unfortunately

Not a very good rule, then, when it just leads to confusion. I knew
this stuff until you repeatedly came up with your rule.

At first I was thinking of 'rabbit deer armour' as an analogy, but
elven, orc and dwarven armour isn't made out of elves, orcs and
dwarves, is it? <g>

Every rule has exceptions.
