While updating Windows 2000 my computer restarted and BIOS found hard drive
but then drugin scanning devices no drive was found.
I tried to format this HDD but in 15 hours it went through 28%.
I put that HDD into other computer as a slave and tried to do scandisk,
change to NTFS or even format it with Partition Magic 8.0
Any thing I tried to do I always got CRC Error #45 in data or Error #993. I
booted my comnputer with Win 2000 installation disk, went to Repair and
repair console and tried to perform CHKDSK /P or CHKDSK /R burt always was
given an invormation that there are some unrecveryble data. I do not need any
data from this HDD. I just want to be able to format it and install system
again.

Thank you for ALL help !!!

Hi Artie,
When you get "one or more unrecoverable errors on the disk" error, it is
probably due to faulty hardware. Please go ahead and talk to your vendor.
