crc errors, failed game instalation from mutiple dvd drives

hi all i had a great idea to replace my hard drive and put a 500gb one in, so the new drive i install vista, my machine was great before this, now i have problems instaling games, crc errors from both dvd drives, downloading patches, failed patch installs, bf2 runs but the studder is terrible, browser works but is sluggish.

any help, the only thing i could imagine since machine was fast before the hard drive swap is the new drive is bad?

e6600 over clocked to 3ghz
4gb corsair anniversary memory
evga 8800gt
two dvd drives one dvd burner
corsair 620 power supply
windows vista home premium
one 500gb hard drive, sata.

2 dvd drives + One dvd burner means 2 IDE and one S-ATA, am i correct ?
Those two IDE drives, are they correctly on master and slave ?

have you installed chipset driver ?

that new HDD, did you do a quick format or full format ?

There's a possibilities, the problem arise because of NCQ, try to disable it through BIOS(if there's the option), or from device manager.
