Good day folks, I am having the hardest time creating a bootable ISO that I can place on Ventoy.

I believe I have tried just about every software that says it can do it and failed. So what I have is a Paragon rescue disk that works on a USB stick. But I am trying to consolidate my USB sticks to Ventoy.

Now the Paragon program exports a linux ISO and that works but I want to use the Windows version and the only option is to write directly to a stick. I have tried making Images but Ventoy does not boot it and I'm sure that's because the boot record is incomplete missing. I got close with Magic ISO maker but again failed the boot.

So anyone know of a method?

Thank you

Which Paragon application and version are you using?

In order to create a bootable Windows ISO, you have to download/install the Windows kit first. These instructions are included with the Paragon software.

Assuming you can successfully create the bootable flash drive (USB stick), you can use CDBurnerXP to "rip" the ISO from that flash drive, to an ISO file. CDBurnerXP works with all of the latest Windows version, don't let the "XP" in the name fool you. With it, you can "Copy or grab disc" and save it to an ISO.

First, check the USB stick to make sure it is bootable by itself (the Paragon ISO). If it is, and doesn't work with Ventoy, then it might be a Ventoy issue.

GardenMan it is Paragon 17 and I did install the both of the windows kits. As mentioned the individual USB stick works just fine on the windows version. Could be a Ventoy issue agreed.

TerryLaze I'll look into the info

I see someone on the Ventoy site seems to have done it with version 15 and I do believe I have that on hand. I'll check that as well and update later.

Thanks folks.

Appreciate all of the input here, Tried 15 but got hung on an out of date developer kit that was a PITA to find and then failed me.
I'm gonna call this closed and just keep that stick handy for when I need that tool. I have way to much time lost on this.
