Hello. i am about to mix my own computer. the price will be around 2000-2500$,(without screen mouse and keybord), but i have a bit of an issue, and i think you guys know a lot more about computers than i do.

I am mixing my own PC at this website, http://www.proshop.dk/CustomPCBuilder/ConfigurationManager.aspx?templateName=Extreme, and i want to get a great gaming computer

What i know:
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K - 4 GHz
Watercooling
Graphic card: Galax GeForce GTX 980 SOC Triple Fan - 4GB GDDR5

The problem is, i don't know where i can cut off some expenses, without ruining the pc.
do i need a kingston 32GB or 16gb?
do i need a good soundcard?
do i need to buy a good motherboard, or will it do any difference if its just decent?
do i need a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 Wireless N Dual Band - 450Mbps or just a 300mbps?
will the cabinet do any difference?
And last, is 7200rpm hard disk enough?

Thank you for your patience, if you want to read this long message, but i think i need a bit more qualified opinions than my own :)

Solution
First for gaming their no reason to get the i7 the i5 performs right at the same for 1/3 less money.
8GB of memory is all you need.

I'll set a i5 4690K paired with just 8GB of memory and match your gaming performance. The only time you need over 8GB of memory is if you using almost 8 having 16 will give you 0 performance increase.
Motherboard just a decent Z97
450Mbps WIFI
In your price range I would be looking at a SSD for the operating system and programs and a regular 7200 RPM hard drive for games.
For that video card if your using a single 1080p monitor just get the GTX 970 it will max everything out.
The 980 only has a 18% performance increase for a 60% price increase, If your running a really high resolution your better off...

This is what I came up with from that site, if you think you will add another GTX 970 in the future if needed then up the power supply to the same RM but 750 to 850 Watts.

Solution
Thank you very much zerk.

I will still stay with the i7, due to some games already need 3,9Ghz processors, but the rest seems like a perfect idea :)

i have one last question. do i need a soundcard for the pc?

thank you very much zerk2012 :)
