[SOLVED] "Create new striped volume" option is greyed out ?

I have a 1tb ssd in addition to the stock drive. Has no volumes. Is a dynamic drive. "create new striped volume" is still greyed out. What else should I try?

This implies you're trying to do an OS managed RAID0. You can't add a disk on top of one already in use to create this. If you want the drives in RAID0, you have to remove the partition from the first drive first.

Though there's no real point in using RAID0 if you have an SSD. It's plenty fast for most use cases.

I simply want to extend the volume to the new drive. I just want to put whatever I want on my computer twithought getting a notification that my drive is full when I have an empty 1tb drive.

Are you saying that it is not possible?

Correct.
You can't "stripe" with an existing drive and its data.
Nor can you Extend into a different physical drive.

All that means is that you just have to be smarter than the PC.
In your browser settings, you can designate a different default location to download things to.

For other things, you can designate where an application saves to.

Games?
In Steam, you can create a new game lib on this new drive. Even make that the default install location.

Are you saying that it is not possible?

It's not possible to add on top of an existing partition. You have to delete the old one first as that feature requires the drives to start fresh.
