Correct. Are you saying that it is not possible?
I simply want to extend the volume to the new drive. I just want to put whatever I want on my computer twithought getting a notification that my drive is full when I have an empty 1tb drive. This implies you're trying to do an OS managed RAID0. You can't add a disk on top of one already in use to create this. If you want the drives in RAID0, you have to remove the partition from the first drive first.
Though there's no real point in using RAID0 if you have an SSD. It's plenty fast for most use cases.

It's not possible to add on top of an existing partition. You have to delete the old one first as that feature requires the drives to start fresh. Are you saying that it is not possible?
