[SOLVED] Create .txt file gone missing from right click context menu. Any way to restore this option?

I have been using Windows 11 Pro for a few months now, and everything has been fine, and I'm surprisingly happy with this new OS.

But I have run into a very minor issue, which I haven't had previously.

I quite often use right-click -> Create New .txt File, and it has been working fine until today. I've just noticed it has gone missing from the right-click context menu (There is an option to create an rtf-file instead).

I would like to get the option back, as i use txt files for all sorts of things.

I've found plenty of workarounds online, but they all require me to make changes to the registry. I'm not unfamiliar with reg.edit, but I was hoping I could get the "create new txt file" back, without making random changes to the registry. I don't want to follow some possibly broken guide to changing the registry and messing things up.

So my question is, does anyone know a fix to this inconvenience, some setting in options perhaps?

For now, I have just added a shortcut to Notepad on my taskbar, but right clicking was a lot easier.

Thanks in advance for any replies

EDIT: Type-O's

Solution
its random it just disappeared? did you get any updates?

right click start button

choose Windows Terminal (Admin)
if its not showing Powershell, click the drop down arrow and select it
in Powershell:
copy/paste this command into window:

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth

and press enter

Then type SFC /scannow

and press enter

Restart PC if SFC fixes any files as some fixes require a restart to be implemented

First command repairs the files SFC uses to clean files, and SFC fixes system files

SFC = System File Checker. First command runs DISM - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/what-is-dism?view=windows-11
do you mean right click, new, text document in file manager?

should be there on desktop too?

Solution
Thanks a lot for your quick replies, it is much appreciated.

I installed an unrelated driver update (Nvidia driver) and performed a reboot as a part of that, and the missing option is now magically back.

Here's a picture of what I was NOT seeing before (red arrow) The whole option to create a txt-file was missing, but apart from that, all the remaining option were stille there EDIT: And it wasn't hiding under "more Options"
