Kind of a hyper specific thing here.
I built a new computer so I took my old work computer, and put a new faster SSD in it. I wanted to use that faster SSD as a main drive so I installed windows on that, but I kept the old installation of windows on the main drive so that I could boot from either one. (I use a lot of directory based programs for work, that's why this is important.)
No issues, everything works perfect.
Anyways I ended up I taking that second hard drive out again, so now I have EXACTLY the same computer as before I put it in. It's failing to boot. error 0xc00000e. USB with windows on it can't repair it and doesn't even recognize that there's an installation of windows to repair.
I need to repair this SPECIFIC version of windows because again, I'm trying to get old work project files, which are directory based (meaning just grabbing them off the HD isn't an option, or if it is, it's a tedious one.)
The SSD I took out of it has been reformatted so if I put it back in it wouldn't be the "same."
Anyone encountered anything like this before? Thanks.
