How did you create the install on the USB?
This is easiest: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/
To install the OS on a new drive?
You boot from that USB.
Install.
I did use the Media Creation Tool, but I'm using 8.1, not really feeling Windows 10. So I guess setting the boot priority and finishing the setup is all there is to it.
Disconnect all other drives
Boot from that USB
Install
Follow up question, I want to use my current drive which has Windows installed for a storage drive when I install Windows on the other drive, do I have to reformat this drive before I make the Windows installation on the new drive? Or can you format AKA remove windows from the previous drive while in the installation process?
After the OS is fully installed on the SSD, then you reconnect the old HDD
Delete all the partitions on it, format, and use it as needed.
Key word...after. Not during.
