***I know it' a wall of text but thank you for reading in advance!***

Hey guys, looking to slowly replace my computer since she's gettin old. Only thing i've ever replaced in her is the graphics card. She's roughly 9? years old now. OH YEAH that means a first generation I7 lol. I think there on like.. generation 8 or something now?

Original cost = around 5,000$ lmao. Damn CPU was 1,200$ alone and the original graphics card was 600$ (x2). Also bought alot of extra things that I know today are just candy and not necessary with today's Mobos/gaming.

*special note* This morning my computer wouldn't start =( Had an even older computer in the garage and took it's 500W power supply to replace the 1300W in my computer. Basically only the mobo/hd/gpu are plugged into it with a construction fan in the side panel now lmao.

I7 965 3.2ghz 4 core (don't look at the rust on heat sink, that's just manly chest hair)
FOXCONN motherboard (Never had an issue with this guy!)
12GB of ram
Sapphire R9 270 (I'm a sapphire fanboy, they've never failed)
1300W Power Supply (now 500)
250GB HD (I'm a man of few needs lmao)
Xclio Flagship case - 8 fan monster that has survived hell. 3 cats, 2 kids, and a dog lmao. Every fan cover on the side is broken in multiple places, I pull the fans halfway apart sometimes and put them back together to keep them running.

IMO she's still a good rig, but cant run the games that are comming out these days. ARK is unplayable and she lags unless on low with any other triple A title. Hell, ya know somethings wrong when minecraft lags. Albeit 200+ mods will do that lol.

I plan on keeping the 250GB HD, not broken.. dont fix it. Here's the part where I need some help! It's been a while since I've actually put a PC together and there are lots of new toys out there. I was hoping you guys could tell me if what I'm looking at is a good setup or not. (or if I'm somehow missing a vital component! Took me 9 hours to put all this together)

Sooooo what am I asking?

Is everything above compatible?
Is the above a good upgrade? Should I be spending more? less?
Will there be any issue plugging and playing my HD into the new computer?
Would it be an issue to clone it to the SSD? (the SSD is twice the size of my HD, so I would put everything on it)
Will I be able to play ARK on this in all it's glory?

Sitting at 900$ right now and I'm completely open to suggestions/changes minus the CPU. I'm an AMD fanboy and want to support them. I also enjoy streaming =P Never Overclocked, but I will overclock the CPU to the 1800. You may have noticed I've used a 250GB HD for 9 years and always have room to spare so I'm not looking for terabytes of space.

Thanks for reading and I appreciate the help!

Looks fine except for the psu, it's on the low end of quality and won't last you another 9 years. Personally I'd trade the x370 mobo for a B350 unless you plan on using the 2nd pcie x16, because that's really the only difference other than the jacked up price, and putting the extra $ saved there towards a better psu (not that hard to do)

Very nice wife, very not nice psu. Higher power doesn't make for higher quality and Apevia is right there at the bottom of ladder.
Sorry, I'd not do that Rosewill Quark at $120 either. After rebate.

Wife has purchased the power supply already, so that's taken off the list. For the record my old power supply that lasted 9 years years was an ABS Tagan BZ 1300W. I would have just bought another one w/o question but it seems they went out of business.

Ah. The reason that psu lasted so long was because it never saw any stress. An R9 270 even with that monster cpu and a ton of OC would be hard pressed to top 600w usage. Almost all low quality psus croak at a little past 50% loads, which you never made it to.

If that had been a 700w-900w version, which is generally the most popular size for the cheapo psus, it'd be a different story.

This is damn wierd. That price is from the Rosewill Superstore. If you look at the other sellers it lists newegg at $89.99 but it also says 'current'. Something is very screwy with this atm. I'm looking at the pc version and it lists the newegg price as the same, but includes a $25 rebate card so $64.99.. Not sure why the mobile version is stuck on the $119.00 price.
