Hi everyone,

My boss has asked me whether I could create a bootable USB stick that will install windows 7 along with installing our AV off one of our servers and also office from one of our servers. If possible it would also be able to setup a local admin profile through command prompt and download various programs off the internet, and I was wondering whether this is possible? I know that something like this is possible through using a build server, however I wasn't sure if its something that could be done from a USB. If not then no problem but help would be greatly appreciated!!

If you have several identical systems this needs to be done one, set one up fully they way you need, then use sysprep to prepare it for imaging (you probably will want to look up what sysprep is and how to use it), use an imaging program like clonezilla to image the drive, and then use that image on the other computers. You will just need to enter the unique Windows license for each system.
Well I know its possible to convert a regular Win7 disk to a bootable USB drive, thats simple. Its also simple to install office across a network, along with other software once Win7 is set up.

What I do is set up a directory on the server called install_disks. This has the programs I need.
Install Win7.
Map a network drive to the server install directory.
Install programs.
Test run the programs.
Unmap the drive.
