Hello there!

I have been using the Creative SBS A520 5.1 sound system for a month or so now, and everything was fine (played correctly in 5.1). And suddenly my front right speaker stopped working. It physically works, if i switch around the speakers on to subwoofer, it still works on other channels, but no matter which speaker i connect to the front-right socket, no sound is coming out.

When i run the Windows 5.1 sound test, the result is the same - all speakers are playing fine apart from the front right speaker.

I'm using Realtek HD audio Manager and Windows tools to test this.

Here is my spec running on windows 7:

All drivers are up to date.

Anyone has any idea what could cause this? I'm losing my mind!
Thanks in advance!

Solution
Plug headphones into the Front (green) port on the soundcard and make sure you have both left and right. If you do then the problem is the A520 has a blown front right amp and needs service.
If you dont have front right from the sound card then check the front headphone jack or remove the front panel audio header from the motherbd and try again. If you still have the problem then you need a new soundcard.
