So the other day, i install my new ASUS GTX 970 STRIX, i therefor wanted to make some more space in my cabinet, remove old components im not useing and replacing some cards to get better air flow.
I took out my old Gforce GTX 580 amp 2 from Zotac, removed the Creative X-FI Titanium.
I placed the soundcard in a the old GPU pci GPU slot and installed the new Graphiccard at the second bottom pci slot on my motherbord.
Then i turned on the cabinet and now suddently my sound were acting wird. there were a lot of static and sounded like tinitus/high note in both speakers in my headset. Windows started installing the new driver for some reason. (maybe that was because i swiched pci slot) but since then my computer had been acting up.
I couldent fix the sound issue so i decided to put the soundcard back to its original possition next to the new graphic card. The problem was still there. but now my computer suddently lost all sound. it removed the sound device from windows, and i could only get it to play sounds again if i restarted the pc. but after a wile i would loose my sound again.
If i try to use the Creative Audio Control panel and swich between entertainment settings and game, it freezes and my computer slowly dies. at the end i cant move my mouse and it get stuck. at one point it gave me blue screen of death.
I have tried all the solution i know of.
- Reinstalling all the drivers, both graphic card and soundcard. installing an older driver for my soundcard. restarting CMOS. (rememberd to turn off the onbord soundcard again) testing my ram, they work perfect.
everything just seem not to work.
I hope you guys have some ideas on what could be wrong? i have seen plenty of people who have issues with the X-FI titanium but it seems like most of the people found a solution. unfortunately i havent yet.
