Hi I have a 260x with Crimson Radeon Software Version 16.6.

Everything has been fine but a new League of Legends update came up and now its telling me an unknown DirectX error occurred and to make sure I'm using the latest video drivers. I am not going to change my GPU or CPU.

So my question is do I need Crimson Relive? I thought it was just for OC stability and VR features... So, do I have to uninstall my current Crimson driver or just install Crimson Relive?

Solution
You can either uninstall the driver and download the install the latest driver package or update to the latest version using its own updater.
Crimson Relive is essentially AMD's version of ShadowPlay. It's for people who capture/stream and want to use AMD's software to do so. It's is not a part of the graphic card drivers and is optional.

Hey I went to AMD website and manually searched for drivers for my 260x but the results only show- Crimson ReLive Edition 17.4.3 and Crimson ReLive Edition 17.4.4 Optional... So I'm kinda lost

Choose the Optional version which will allow you to choose whether you want to install the Relive but keep the other software that you may want such as overclocking.
The AMD minimal setup is an auto-detect installer.

Hey thanks for helping but its still not working.. Im just gona uninstall the game and find another game to play.. Which is kind of hard to find a good game these days but thanks again anyways.

Have you tried what some have suggested on their forums:
Delete the config file.

Solution
The AMD drivers work better with a clean uninstall first. Use the AMD Clean Uninstall Utility:http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx. Then after reboot, install the latest driver, 17.4.4 or you can try older drivers from the link on the driver page "Download Previous Drivers & Software."

Thanks alot for the help it worked! But I didn't uninstall the driver first I don't know if that matters. Also my computer seems to boot up quicker and CS:GO seems smoother... YOU ARE AWESOME OMG
