This may seem really stupid, but when I try searching calc like it says, i only get the calculator option. I am not sure if I am searching in the right area, or where to find out what I need to do for this fix. sorry for noobiness.

Edit:

sorry, i see you are supposed to use the calculator. But I dont really understand what I am supposed to be entering into it and what to change for my problem.

Hello again

It looks like there is some confusion. The steps you are trying is from one of the scenarios where the users might be getting the said error. If you notice, there are three scenarios in all, and the solution is given at the end of the third scenario.

For your convenience, here is the solution from the link:

"If you see that the computer generates a Stop error that contains a BugcheckCode value that is not reported in an event ID 41, change the restart behavior for the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
Click Advanced system settings.
Click the Advanced tab.
In the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings.
Click to clear the Automatically restart check box."

Hope this helps.

Cheers!! :)

Im guessing what this will do is when there is actually a problem that it will return the error on the screen?

Also an update:

I changed my power settings from custom to a high performance setting and it hasn't rebooted today since I was at work.
