Hello!

I went to bed last night after shutting down my PC and turned it on today and tried to instantly load up my PC as I had work to finish today by 4PM (which I haven't got done).

So I turned my PC on, powered and then instantly tried to repair itself. So I thought immediately that it is a HDD issue, but then I read about Critical Process Dies posts on the net and it just came up with "go into safe mode" but I couldn't even do that and then I eventually had to try and reset my PC to Windows 10 by wiping everything with the Advanced Start up options or whatever.

But now I've tried that and it's failed it just starts up, BIOS screen and then "Loading operating system..." and fails and tries to restart itself again and this just keeps looping over and over again.

I don't have a disk drive so I can't load a disk in. I have a legit windows, but it came from a Windows 7 disk which isn't with me in University and I've upgraded to Windows 10.

I'm really not sure what to do here.

SPECS:
R9 390 8GB
FX 8350
OCZ VTX3 120GB SSD
32GB RAM

On a scale of 1-FUBAR, how F'd am I?

Solution
Hello...1) You can use/DL anybody Win 10 ISO/Disk to get some TOOls to " Fix Boot record " without a TOTAL install.
2) Choose to re-load The OS over the existing OS ONLY and NOT have all your other files and APPS written over. This will create WIN.old directory and backup of the ORIG... if you have the HD space.

So get a WIN10 install media and boot with it, OK ?

Okay thanks man will try. Cant seem to download the Win 10 media centre though. It keeps saying it can't complete it so I'm gonna have to do it the long way I think, by getting the ISO instead of just the media install.

I've formatted my USB drive and retried and it seems to be going a lot better. Will keep posted if thats ok
