The total $2327 - Now I'm not decided on ddr3 1333/1600 yet. But I'd like to stay away from SSD's for the time being as their write speeds are slllooooww! Let me know what you think, thanks!!!

Sounds like a pretty solid system to me.

Only thing I would suggest, and keep in mind that I'm kind of a noob, but from what I've seen and read, it seems like most people consider the 940 to be sort of a waste of money since you can so easily OC the 920 to put up numbers equal to and better than it. Might want to look at doing that and then maybe dropping the savings into a better GPU, although I really like the GTX 275 myself, or a better monitor.

Kind of nit picky I suppose and if you've got the money to spend on it then go for it!

get an i7 920 with a P6T deluxe (not the V2) and add another GTX 275 or swap the 940 for the new D0 950.

also since you have so much cash you could do this; get only one of those SAS HDD's, dropping down the CPU to a 920 and the mobo to a P6T deluxe (not V2, because the V2 drops SAS support) and the GTX 275. then when it comes out get an ASUS GTX 295 MARS, it's two GTX 285's and their corresponding PCB's in one graphics card, but it will cost $600+.

edit: also SSD write speeds aren't slow, unless you only look at intel's offering, if you look at Samsung SSD's and OCZ SSD's they have write speeds close to 200MB/s.

Yeah I've thought about that, but I don't want to overclock much, if at all...I also do not game intensely and was going to go gtx260 but there was a combo deal on newegg.com. The monitor is also $40 off and I need a webcam, so one attached is fine.

BTW, I am stripping the 2 SAS drives

I think the 2 SCSI drives are a waste, invest in SSD. A 120GB SSD reads way quicker, silent, cool, efficient, etc., and it's about $260 for a good 120GB OCZ Vertex. Then good a WD640 as your secondary.

Also, did you by any chance read my build? Because that just happens to be the same TV Card I had selected, and it's not a very popular one.

And +1, the 940 is a HUGE Waste. A 920 can be OC'd to well over 3.5 (same as the 940), and all the other factors are equal. Save the $250!!!!

and if you're not going to game that much then you should only be spending $1200 on a build tops, unless you want it to last long then get a dual nehalem Xeon build.

Looks pretty damn sweet.

Recommendations - Drop the Fujitsu drives. Fujitsu is not making full-fledged SAS drives, but a SATA-II drive they are marketing as SAS (check the white papers on them). I would recommend Hitachi, Seagate is a good choice also.

You might also consider dropping the i940 in favor of the i920 to save some green and lose very little performance.

For a power supply, 750W should be plenty, but go with one that has a single 12V rail instead. I would recommend the PC Power and Cooling 750 Quad Silencer, Corsair also has an excellent 750W product (both provide 60A single rail).

For memory, DDR3-1600 won't help you at all unless you are overclocking. Not so hot on overclocking myself, but keep in mind that DDR3-1333 will be cheaper if you don't overclock.
