Critique my upgrade plan

hello needing some advice if i should change or add some parts to my rig.

my specs and the changes indicated by the arrow

core 2 quad Q6600 --> E8600

1x4 GB 1333Mhz transcend --> 2x4 GB 1333 Mhz

MSI 3870X2 OC --> inno 3d GTX 295 OC

corsair HX 620W --> antec truepower quattro 1000W

raptor 150GB --> additional raptor for RAID 0

onboard analog devices sound chip --> creative X-fi fatality pro titanium

stock cooler --> galaxy 2 liquid cooler

500GB seagate barracuda 7200.11 --> additional barracuda for RAID 1

Maximus Extreme (no changes best X38 mobo ever)

antec 900 (no changes)

you can provide changes on my upgrade plan and which of these upgrades are the most important to change immediately. playing at 1280 x 1024 favorite games are Crysis™, Crysis Warhead™, Far Cry™ and Far Cry 2™ thanks...

Q66 to E86 is a downgrade now since quad's are moving into the mainstream area and dual's to low spec pc's.

and you can get a Q9550 for just a bit more than the e86.

Keep the Q6600. 3.6Ghz OC potential.

4GB of RAM is 4GB. Keep what you have.

Can you run 2 separate RAID arrays on that MB? Check that carefully.

A good HSF (XIGMATEK Dark Knight-S1283V $40) will get you 90% of the cooling ability of a water cooling system at 25% of the cost. H20-220 vs HSF review

Also GTX 295 is overkill for every cpu at the moment, if a 4870 X2 can be bottlenecked by an I7 965 then I think a GTX 295 is gonna be bottlenecked by a Q6600.

Your current Corsair 620HX would run a GTX 285 and the rest of your system just fine.

^ +1, the 1000W is sorta overkill, if you needed that much power a Corsair TX850 or a 750W would be plenty.
