So last week I upgraded my gtx560ti to a Sapphire R9 290 TRI-X because I was begging to get low FPS and display would go green from time to time. I also upgraded my CPU to a FX-8370 as I was told that my Phenom 955 could not handle the R9 290. I was still unhappy with the performance of about 10-15 FPS while playing WoW on ultra in heavy PvP battles. Today I purchased a second R9 290 TRI-X from Sapphire. I am running 3 monitors one off of one GPU and the other two off the second GPU all three monitors are working so I believe that both the GPU's are working as supposed to, but after I installed the Sapphire drivers and AMD CCC, when asked if I want to enable Crossfire X. After enabling Crossfire X my third monitor shuts down. If I disable it, all monitors work. As for gaming I have not seen an Improvement 10-15 FPS in WoW big PvP battle in Ashran. Its my system working as intended, or am I having issues.

ok so after some tinkering and research I came to the conclusion that when in CrossfireX mode the second GPU is supposed to shut down and it ports become unusable, because it has become a slave card for the primary to use in CrossfireX. Posting this up just incase anyone else runs in to this situation.
