Crossfire (2) HD 7750s or just (1) HD 7850

Ok, I already own an Asus Radeon HD 7750 and on its site it says that it is crossfire capable and since I building a new system crossfiring 2 7750 would be cheaper to a single 7850 but the 7850 would be less room taken up in my case, draws the same max power, and does not suffer from crossfire (poor) optimizations and increased micro stuttering. The motherboard I am going to use will have at least 2 pci-e 2.0 slots so crossfire for the 7850 (in the future) will be possible depending on case.

This is the card I already have(will buy second for crossfire): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121633

And the 7850 I am considering to buy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202004

Price is a small concern between these options(money can be put into better psu, etc.) but I will not go for an nVidia card or a higher priced AMD card.

So my question really is, which is better for long term(2-3 years at most), which is best price/performance ratio, and which one you would personally prefer.

Also, hardware such as PSU, CPU, etc will not be a factor.

Thank you for any help.

The 7850 is worth the extra $60. It is MUCH more powerful than the 7750.

I don't know how a 7850 vs 2x7750s in crossfire compare, however, I would guess that the 7850 will still be somewhat faster, and you already pointed out the inherent problems with crossfire/SLI.
