Hi there, I have a question, many people say that a single high end gpu is better then two low end gpu, alright lets not talk about the power comsumption and the temperature, if I spend twice of my money will I get twice as much the performance ?

Solution
They supposedly released a patch for AC Syndicate to fix some of the major scaling issues. However, many people still report negative CF scaling (worse with 2 cards than with 1) in Syndicate in 1080p resolution. Best data I could find on the subject was here: https://uk.hardware.info/reviews/6519/6/assassins-creed---syndicate-tested-with-23-graphics-cards-slicrossfire-scaling. I'm not wild on this source though.

Unfortunately I cannot find a good FCAT analysis of Crossfire in AC Syndicate to give you a really good answer to this. But if you want to see an example of what microstuttering looks like in some games see here: http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/hitman-2016-pc-graphics-performance-benchmark-review,8.html
No, you will not get double the performance. Some titles may give you 80% scaling in SLI/Crossfire. Some may give you 50% scaling. Some may give you 0% scaling. And some may not work well at all until you disable one of the cards. Unfortunately game designers have not been building their games around SLI/Crossfire compatibility and we are at a point where it really is not worth the money over a single GPU configuration.

No.

You will win synthetic benchmarks with dual cards.
But dual cards have potential issues due to minute differences in the capabilities of each card.
They may not render frames exactly in sync, generating tearing or stuttering.
Some games do not support dual cards at all.

No you will not. I have two GTX 1070 MSI Gaming Xs and I've had experience with 2 970s and i did own a 1080 ( but then the fan broke).. In some games a single card config is a lot better than a dual GPU setup for example DOOM does not support SLI or Crossfire. HOWEVER in games like Battlefront EA or GTA V i get better performance with 2 1070s in sli vs a single 1080. Also it is important to note if you plan on going with a dual GPU setup it takes up more power and it can be very CPU intensive at times so you'd need a decent PSU and CPU
