Crossfire doesnt work

I have recently a 2nd asus r9 290x in my possession, for a higher output in my fps games.

After connecting the Cards the fans did it and I was able to connect multiple monitors, as I reach the radeon settings. When i enable crossfire the monitors of one gpu are going out. in games the crossfire logo goes on, but i dont have more fps with 2 gpu's than with 1 gpu. during gaming the cards switch from 1% to 100% gpu usage but always separately from each other and it changes every half a second.

I have the latest bIOS version, I used the latest driver of crimson, also I tried other drivers from crimson and cathalist. Unfortunately, with no success, both wearing down the video cards in a PCIe 16x slot. Crimson also says crossfire is enabled, other programs like speccy say crossfire disabled. Also my Vram has doubled in games. I can now use 8 but it doesnt help somethiny.
After having tried everything. I do not know what to do. Please help me

8gb ddr3 2400mhz ram
Sabertooth 990fx 2.0
AMD 8350
1300 watt evga gold power supply

your cpu will be the limiting factor. I have a 8350 oc to 4.8ghz and a single 290x

most the time in real world games my video card doesn't even get up to 70% usage.

also the 2nd card in a cross fire setup the outputs should disable as it as working as an assistant to the primary card.

as for the uneven loading I'm not sure as it should show a more constant load on both cards then it is though.

i dont know why your card is 70% because my card is 100% if i put in 1 card, second of all, that doesnt cover why games just say i have 8gb of vram instead of 4, i think there should be another solution but i really apreciate your effort to answer
