Crossfire + eyefinity screen tearing

I have massive screen tearing with my 2 7870 crossfire eyefinity setup. Connections are 1 hdmi 1 mini display port to active hdmi adapter and 1 dvi. I'm using the newest beta drivers. Vsync enabled. Games like diablo have massive tearing across all screens. I was thinking on getting another hdmi active adapter to replace the dvi. Any help would be great!
 
you need to run all the screens from mst hubs.
i had this issue with my 2x 7950's and 4 screens. i was running everything from its own output.

i got 2 http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX49358 ran everything from my display ports and the issue cleared right up.

evga and accell have 3 port ones

it just took throwing money at the right cables, loving the ghetto 4k res though.

apparently they cleaned up the issue between mixing vid outputs on the r series, the 7xxx series needs the screens running from the same type output, the mst hub should get you 3 good screens from it.
i can't remember if the 7870's have 1 or 2 display port hubs.

I have run 6 screen but i get the tearing on the 2 screens not on the hubs.
 


I'm using the displayport to hdmi ones, 2 mst hubs to 4 hdmi cables.
the hubs just started hitting the market here a few months ago, i think i paid 80 each for mine. i got the first one that hit the store, if i had waited 2 weeks i'd have the 3 port evga ones.
i'm pretty happy with mine though.

the only thing i noticed is that it takes a min or 2 to warm up when i start up. the screens blink on and off a little but once it settles down it works great. usually by the time i get past the wow login its sorted out and stable.
the one i use treats each pair off monitors as one 3840x1080 screen.
 
no, its the mst hub plugged into the display ports, then 4 of the cheapest hdmi cables i could find plugged into the hub.
i just went with the least connectors possible.

i am not sure what you would need to go from the display port output hubs to your monitors.
this is where google comes in handy, hit the spec page for the hubs, and they should tell you what you need for your particular setup.
 
the hubs i have are straight dp to 2 hdmi outputs, so i don't need the adapters.
but it looks like you will evga has a forum page for their adaptor, if you are looking at that one you might want to head over there and ask.
 
My problem is the mst hubs output to display port 1.1 or 1.2. I only have have 2 1.2 display ports 1 dvi and 1 hdmi on the main video card. My monitors don't have any display ports. Not use how well a display port cable to hdmi would work. Sorry for all the trouble.
 
my cards have only 2 dp ports, i have a hub on both.
the startech DisplayPort to Dual HDMI Multi Monitor Adapter M/F - DP to 2x HDMI 3840x1200 is the one i got.
running 3 monitors you should be good with 1 of the hubs i got, and 1 dp to hdmi, if all your monitors have hdmi.
one of your dp ports on your card would run 2 monitors through the hub, the other dp should run the third monitor with the adaptor you linked.
the hub i got acts as both the mst splitter, and the dp to hdmi output in 1 box.

you want to run all your monitors out of the display ports. i don't think the transition of 1.2 input to 1.1 output on the hub matters much.

if you went with the 2 hdmi output one i went with, then added a displayport to hdmi on the other dp on your card i think it would work quite well.

i was tearing my hair out when i first tried to figure it out myself.
lets just say that the hubs cost less then all the cables and adaptors i had bought before to try to fix the issue.

the one i got was pretty much plug and play for me, my card reads each hub as 1 3820x1080 screen.
the only thing i had to do was flip the top pair upside down in the settings, i run my top 2 monitors upside down for the slightly smaller bezels.

Works for me.
 
I found this problem a few days ago. I searched and read a lot of posts in different forums. And found the answer easily. Someone said: " They fixed it with 12.8 catalyst drivers but after the broke it again".
So simple. I cleaned my drivers totally and installed 12.8. and... FIXED.
The answer was in front of their noses and nobody saw it.
