Crossfire Gigabyte R9 380- Help!

Im Going to upgrade a friends pc, for some hardcore gaming, he says- anyway the point is i need to know if dual Gigabyte R9 380 4G SOC Cards would be good for gaming, he is going to be using a higher resolution than 1080p, maybe 4K.
