Crossfire not working (Dead card?)

Hi. Just recently finished building a computer from some components in a previous build.

Having some issues with my MSI Twin Frozr 7850's in Crossfire, only one is recognised by the system. Both are connected via PCI-e and have their fans running; I have a 800W PSU so power shouldn't be the issue.

Furthermore, when I plugged in the bottom card of the two, (The one that wasn't being recognised) by itself, my monitor failed to turn on; the fans were still actively spinning. The top card by itself started up fine; recognised by the system and the likes.

Don't really know what to do. I'm a beginner so maybe I missed out on something simple.

If you tested the card by itself and it did not work, sure seems like the card is bad. To make sure, test it in another system that you know is good.
