Crossfire or 1 better card?

I was going to stay with my fx 6300 and get 1 r9 280x with 550watts but...

Would that be better or would my fx 6300 and get 2 r9 270Xs crossfire be better?

Many games have poor crossfire support(especially early after release, or indie games) leading to bugs or framerate stuttering and often forcing you to disable crossfire altogether.

This usually isnt a problem for triple A titles especially after a patch or two but its definitely something to consider..

I have heard that there are fewer problems as a general rule however many similar issues still definitely exist.

So would you recommend R9 280x or crossfire R9 270xs?

I think starting off with a 280x would be better, it should run most games on ultra, and if you find it starting to hold you back in a year or two you can crossfire 280x's then.
