So I have a saphire stock cooled R9 290 and i'm wondering whether i should buy another for crossfire or wait for "captain jack" or the 980 ti. I have a 4670k at 4.3ghz and I use a korean 1440p monitor overclocked to 100hz. Recommendations? Opinions? Ideas? thanks

I think it would be far more cost effective to stick another R9 in, linked in Xfire, and considering that you can buy a new 290 for $300 is an amazing deal. For the R9 390x it will be at least $1000, and the 980 will be the same if not more. Just make sure your case cooling is good enough, AMD cards are notable for always running hot.
