Crossfire vs sli

I have a Gigabyte 870 A UD3 motherboard running Vista 64 bit. Does this support crossfire video cards?

You're able to run it but as x16/x4 which isn't THAT bad. I don't recommend crossfiring/sli yet because of the newer graphic cards that's coming out. I would go with nVIDIA though for its stronger driver support.
