[SOLVED] Crossfire with 2 different 6900 XT's?

Hello,

I'm putting together a PC at the moment and currently have a MERC 6900 XT for it. I've heard you can still do Crossfire with these new GPU's. I have someone offering me a Red Devil 6900 XT for nearly MSRP. If I decide to buy it, will I be able to use Crossfire even though they are different manufacturers?

Thank you

Solution
Yes you can, no you shouldn't.
SLI and Crossfire are dead. It's unsupported, when it works it's poorly, it can cause worse performance, you will use much more power and you need an excellent PSU. There is also the screen tearing, refusing to work at all, etc...
