Crossfiring reducing game performance (APU radeon hd 8470d + radeon hd 6570)

hi I have just received my gpu this morning and installed it, the crossfire is enabled and everything is fine. except when I play games my frame rate is reduced compared to having the APU intergrated graphics on by itself. what can I do about this

Try removing the crossfire and let the dedicated GPU do all the work. The CPU might be bottlenecking itself?
