CROSSHAIR 5FZ Fan controller

Hi,

I have an NZXT H440 with a Crosshair V Formula Z mobo, the casefans run at 100% all the time and it produces too much noise.
I had people tell me to buy a fan controller specifically the GRID plus from NZXT. although i have already spent my budget for the pc and would like to use the onboard fan controller instead (also heard this mobo has it), the problem is i don't know how, please advise.

Crosshair V Formula Z supports 8 x 4 pin [PWM] fan ports. Are Your fans 3 or 4 pins? [this would explain a lot for beginning, if You have 3 pin connectors on Your fans, they run full speed nevertheless Your settings are]. If You house PWM fans, just set them in BiOS [UEFi] to "silent" from "normal" or "performance".
