Crosshair V Formula Memory Slots

The motherboard has 4 slots for up to 32gb memory at 2133mhz max but. I see 2x Black slots and 2x Red slots. I only have 2x 8GB AMD Performance edition memory. Should they be installed 1 black 1 red or should both be installed into the red slots only? I have gotten PFN_LIST_CORRUPT BSOD's but when I ran memtest they came back clean as a whistle. Could them not being installed into the red slots only cause those BSOD's? If so... why?

You should install the kit in the first and third slot to make it work in dual channel operation. In other words, same color.

According to your manual red slots only, basically same color slots for dual channel.

Wait?... It WAS in the manual? I couldn't find it lol! Oh jeez... thanks a lot you two, hopefully this clears up the PFN_BSOD's
