Crosshair VI Hero Power Connectors?

Building new PC ASUS Crosshair VI Hero, X370, with Ryzen 7 1700. The motherboard has the 24 pin connector, a 8 and 4 Pin EATX12V connector. My new Corsair RM750i PSU has the 8 pin cable but NO 4 pin Cable. Do I need both cables? The manual states "Do not forget to connect the 4-pin/8-pin EATX12 v power plug." I am hoping that the 8-pin is all I need.

you can leave it not connected.

The Asus.com support page and manual say you do have to connect the 8 pin + 4 Pin EATX12V connector.Or else it will not Boot UP... i am not taking chance buying this Crosshair VI Hero, just to find out it will not boot up. Plus what power supply has the 8+4 pin for the CPU power connector??? i would have liked to get full confirmation, if someone can post a video to show us where is the magic 4 pin connector is ??? or do they expect us to use the one for GPU 4 pin?? i don't know cuz i tried looking it up on youtube and not one video i found discussing this issue.

Manual says 8 pin/4 pin connector to be used and not 8 pin and 4 pin connector. I presume you can use just 8 pin connector from your Corsair PS
