Crossing the finish line! SSD vs HDD for my gaming build.

You already have a HDD on your part list. It's the best to have both, but your budget won't allow to get a 240 - 256GB SSD for only $100, and its barely enough for a price of a 120 - 128GB SSD. Like what USAFRet said, I personally think 120 - 128GB SSD isn't enough, an operating system is already taking 1/6 of that storage space, so you are left around 100GB of space, if not less. If you think you are not going to lots of games or programs on the SSD, and you think it's enough for you, go ahead and get one.

if you only have 2 or 3 main games get a ssd as you boot drive now and add a magnetic hdd in a month or 2 when you can afford it. then you can shuffle things to accomodate your needs better if you go mag hdd now it will require another full windows install if and when you get a ssd. thats my 2 cents
