Hi, I've been trying all day to get this thing to work.
I need to get some games from my notebook to my new PC, I'm using a crossover cable.
I configured the IPs and the subnet mask.
I disabled firewall, I went to advanced network sharing (I don't know how this menu's name in English is) and gave permissions for like every option I saw.
I can't get rid of the error: "Can't get access to \\FEDELENOVO" (my notebook)
I'm not in the mood of spending extra money in an external hdd to get to play these games
Any ideas?

U don't need to spend money, just time and patience.

Instead of \\FEDELENOVO, have you tried \\IP? I assume u can PING that sucker?

On a side note, I assume both of these pieces are accessing the Internet? so they are on the same LAN, u shouldn't have to jury rig a cable but OK, already done.

Cant get access to \\lenovo , and says something about asking the network's administrator for permission, I'm sorry I don't know how to exactly translate all the message. Both pcs are allowed to share files in control panel

Dude this is an English site, I can't even cut and paste that stuff into translate.Google.

If permission that's your problem, is not set up correctly. The picture shows the box appears on Explorer so at least you know the networking part is OK. After changing permission, u did a reboot right, right.
