Just went to the Matrix webpage. Crown of Glory looks like a
tremendously interesting and ambitious TBS game. It remains to be seen
how well it implements all that it promises, of course, but I'm very
intrigued. Too bad no PBEM, though, which is my preferred vector for
human competition.

Actually, it does have e-mail, added by popular request after the
initial discussions with gamers. However, due to the design PBEM uses
the quick combat rather than tactical combat system. Have a look at
http://www.west-civ.com for more details and check our forums for info
from the developer.

Erik I tried but could not really find any info as regards the
PBEM on COG board nor website - could you be more specific, thanks.

Sorry, it's definitely been discussed in the forums and in the live
chat. PBEM was added to Crown of Glory and will be available on
release, but will use the quick combat system as that was the only way
to adapt the design to a PBEM cycle.

I can attest to that - I didn't know that it made it into the specs though,
so that's good news.

Been doing some reading up in preparation for this title - Davout will be
commanding my forces at Waterloo :)
