Crt help !

I've recently took out my old 17" CRT monitor and hooked it up to my small laptop. I'm sick of the small screen size of the laptop so i wanted to use the CRT the picture and quality on the CRT isn't too good its a Compaq 7550 is there anyway to make the picture better? maybe calibrate it? sorry I'm very noob and would appreciate any help

unfortunately your crt monitor is not as sharp as the lcd screen of your laptop.
What you need to do is get a 19" lcd panel and then you'll see the sharp screen you want!
Also, your crt screen is probably 3 to 5 years old and has lost alot of it's performance. While lcd monitors don't loose their performance at all they just die after they reach their rated hours.
