Crucial 4GB RAM

Hi all,
I have 4GB DDR3 RAM installed in my laptop with bandwidth PC3-12800 running on 800 MHz. I want to purchase Cucial 4GB DDR3 RAM with same PC3-12800. IT is available but operating frequency says 1600MHZ. Shall I go for purchase or not??

I bet that your current RAM is running at 1600 MHz as well.

However, there are no guarantees that they will work. When mixing DRAM, there's a 50/50 chance they will work together. It's always better to buy a kit, that way they will work together for sure.

Also, make sure you have a 64-bit OS. If you only have 32 bit, you won't benefit from the 8GB of RAM.
