The general theme of advice is to stick with a 2x4gb kit. But I see Crucial is offering 2 8gb sticks for only $80:

Granted, its only 1600mhz, but has CAS latency of 8. Sounds like it would be pretty decent? Its awfully tempting considering its only $30 more than a 2x4 kit.

As a bit of future proofing, and as someone who often has a dozen or more browser tabs open, along with a few other programs, this seems like the way to go?

Looks like Mushkin has a set at $77:

Never had anything by Mushkin before, and only 1 review... asking for trouble?
