Question Crucial CT480 BX500 really slow to boot W10

I have a Sandisk with 240Gb, but then i found a sale price on a Crucial BX500 with 460Gb and i've bought it... After cloning the disk on their tool, i swapped the drives and started the windows on the Crucial SSD, but i've realized it was taking longer than the Sandisk... I thought that after a while it would "settle" and be at least as fast as the Sandisk, but for my sadness it is still really slow, almost like a regular HDD to boot... I've swapped sata cables, sata ports, everything but nothing helped... Please if someone has a solution for this, i beg.

I feel like i've been scammed by Crucial... My sandisk was smaller but WAAAYYY faster... the only solution now would be the "storage executive" from crucial? Will it perform like a Sandisk?

I would put the OS back on the Sandisk, and use this for basic storage.

Or, get a refund and buy something else.

I guess i wont be able to refund, it has passed the 7 day that you can get refunded by not being satisfied with the product... now i guess they would only refund if it was a faulty unit, and it appears its not... its just an awful product...

Now i have to save up for another decent and affordable SSD... maybe i should get back to sandisk's...

The MX500 from Crucial is a quality device.
Or Samsung 860/870 EVO.

I live in Brazil, the currency here is really bad at the moment, everything is way so expensive at the moment... So kingston is really that bad? They used to make good RAMs and Pendrives, right?

How can you clone a 240GB source and come out with a 313GB destination?

Can you post a screen shot of crystal disk info?

Bios time....I don't have your machine but I see 2.5-4.5 secs.

There is a good chance your SanDisk was cacheless too. They have models with dram and models without.

Regardless, a dramless drive should still be quick to boot and feel snappy in most cases. Its really only under extended writes and some other tasks where the performance is poor.

Your drive is performing fine as shown in crystaldiskmark.

I'd say the stuff you added since the clone to make it 313gb is much more likely to be causing the issue.

Yes, the partition size can consume the entire target drive.

What he was referring to was the 313GB, as shown in the CrystalDiskMark screenshot.
That did not come out of the 240GB Source drive.

I dont remember adding that much... I will execute a checkdisk to see if it has bad sectors that show as used... is that possible?
