have anyone seen this before?

its weird because crucial IS also a chip maker (which is micron), not like some DIMM assembler such as kingston that buy chips from other company and use that chip to make RAM that are labeled with their brand.

so it doesn’t mean that this crucial ram which has samsung chip on it is a “fake” crucial memory right?

because crucial make their own DDR3L chip

that’s great.

but, another question
DDR3L backward compatible with DDR3 right?
for example can i use DDR3l 1.35v on DDR3 1.5v system such as ivybridge or haswell system?

crucial said that DDR3L is the new standard of DDR3 that has “dual voltage” capability.

wonder if samsung also maks this kind of chips, coz i rarely see samsung sell RAM to user directly, they mostly sell them to OEM.
