I plan on doing a full upgrade and all at once, except one part. I'll be getting the Crucial M550 SSD for my B-day, which happens to be today. Anyway, I was wondering if it's compatible with my existing mobo. I have an MSI Z77A-G45. Sandra says my BIOS or UEFI has v2.2B3 installed.
Will it work with my mobo and if so do I need to update my BIOS/UEFI. One last question. How do I setup the SSD? I plan on booting off of it. I'm going to get the 256GB variant, so I'll load Win 7 and a few games I play the most. I'd clone the drive, but my C: drive currently takes up more room than 256GB, so I'll have to do a clean install.
Is it as easy as normally setting up a HDD or is there something more I need to do. Thanks!
