Crunching sound when installing i5?

When I lower the bar on the cpu scket, a kind of hissing sound happens, kind of sounds like the pins are bending-is this normal? They are both brand new.
I read that this is normal, is that true?

if set in correctly which is hard too mess up with intel systems, it is quite normal, if it boots ur good and if it doesnt then ur not. I havent installed a new intel cpu yet but i would say if it works ur fine and its normal.
