Cryorig C7 vs intel stock

In this test: http://wccftech.com/review/cryorig-c7-review/

It was beaten out by a Hyper 212EVO...... which isn't saying much.

It's better than the stock cooler, and it's quieter - but its not going to be dramatically better.

Considering the price (in the US at least) of ~$36, I'd be more inclined to recommend the Cryorig H7 if your case allows it.

The H7 outperforms the 212EVO by a solid margin, with the 212 bettering the C7......

I only got 5.8cm height to work with :/

I heard something with the noctua only supporting up to 65w tdp or something and then C7 up to 100w, I've got a 7700k :S

Ok, with a 7700K and 58mm clearance, the C7 is really your only option worth considering.

The 7700K and clearance would've been a little helpful from the outset though

You would make a very bad choice then made for a 65 watt TDP.

Should've been a caveat with that @Zerk, "depending on the chip" - as I only prefer the Noctua from a silence perspective..
Interestingly, the NH-L9i actually manages to keep (stock) 6700K's <70'C under load, but obviously not optimal.
The NH-L9i (and a) was actually fairly conservative in it's TDP handling abilities for some reason.

Now that I know the OP has a 7700K / 91W chip, paired with the clearance they have, the C7 really is the only option with "official" support.
