Hi, I am looking for a cpu cooler for the i5-8600k for overclocking to atleast 4.5-4.7 ghz. Which would be the better choice. The Noctua is cheaper where I am from.

Also would these fit the Phanteks P400 TG?

Thanks!

Yeah, the NH-D15S has one fan where the NH-D15 has two. The single fan allows for more compatibility in configurations. In these test here, the single fan D15S...
I like the Cryorig H5, but it is not as good compared to the Noctua NH-D15. The NH-D15 is one of the best air coolers on the market. It has 6 heat pipes where the H5only has 4. In the US the Noctua unit is twice as much as the H5, so it sounds like a pretty goo deal.

Both coolers are 160mm tall and the P400 supports coolers up to 160mm tall. So it is going to be a tight fit for either cooler, but it should work.

I see. Are the D-15 and D-15S similar in performance terms?
Also will the cooler be touching the side panel of the case if it is a tight fit? Thanks

I could compare the NH-D15 with my Prolimatech Genesis...the winner is...the Genesis. For a current system with OC ambitions I would recommend to use an AIO like the H-115i. If air is preferred then the Dark Rock 4 Pro.

Yeah, the NH-D15S has one fan where the NH-D15 has two. The single fan allows for more compatibility in configurations. In these test here, the single fan D15S was within 1 or 2 degrees of the D15.

Edit: The NH -D15 is 165mm tall, so it wont fit in that case. But the NH-D15S will fit fine.
