Hi, i have got a good deal for a i7 10700 no k and a z490 mobo together for 300 pounds, but i dont have money to buy an extra cooler, does anyone know if the H7 woulf suffice, it keeps my i7 8700 pretty cool never in the 70s maybe at most late 60s.
Also, with this board, could i oc my memory to 3200mghz or 3000mghz as thats the stock mghz of my ram but the 10700 runs 2933 stock. Could i still use xmp to get to the desired speeds without a unlocked cpu with a z board?
Thanks, a quick reply owuld be helpful as this deal isnt gonna last long.

Supposedly designed for up to 140w.

i7-10700 is up to 224w. The 65w thing only applies if you turn off Turbo Boost.

Cryorig H7 will struggle specifically when that cpu is put under heavy load.
You will most likely have to go into bios and lower the power limit so the cooler can manage for whatever it is you will use it for. You won't get the full performance out of the chip, but gotta make a compromise if you can't get a bigger cooler.

Yes, you can still use XMP.

i also have the option to get the K version for 10 quid more, would it be worth buying that, undervolting it with the cryorig until i can get a cooler strong enough to run it stock? many thanks!
