Toms community,

I did get my Cryorig H7 installed and it seems to be running fine. I had some trouble during the install getting the xbar to line up and rest on all the screws. I had one screw in particular that didn't want to grab onto the xbar. I had to push down that particular leg of the xbar to get it to screw in.

This install was done in an existing set up and therefore the motherboard was already mounted in my Fractal Design R5. The installation was kind of a pin trying to giggle the thing to rest properly. Seems install has been a breeze for everyone else. Anyone else run into this with this cooler? Or am I just daft?

Solution
That can be an issue with most coolers. They all have a certain amount of tension to keep them in contact with the cpu so the mounting bracket won't just rest on top of the screw holes of the backing plate. It requires some lining up of the holes and screws and only partially screwing in each mount screw a few threads.

If one is screwed in halfway or more before the others are started the pressure won't be evenly applied and will require a lot more tension to get the others to catch their threads. Once they're all started going back and forth opposite directions a few turns works the best to evenly tighten the heatsink down and prevent binding.
