Crysis 2 1.9 bug

I recently reinstalled crysis 2 on origin, because lets face it, crysis 3's campaign was pretty disappointing. Anyway, i hadn't played crysis 2 since February, and i thought i'd play it again. Unfortunately, i cannot for some reason. God knows why, but i have gotten the 1.9 bug in which i get black screen and green cursor with audio only. Now, this is infinitely annoying, and i have uninstalled it, but if anyone could help me out, please do.

You did uninstall and reinstall? Did you also do that with Origin? What are your system specs and do you have the latest graphics drivers?

I uninstalled it, but did I have not reinstalled yet, as i have limited Internet left. I have alos read about this problem, and it seems that doesn't help it anyway. I also have not uninstalled or reinstalled oriign, as i didnt think that would do anything. i may try that. I have installed the latest drivers, and my specs are as follows:
EVGA GTX 680
Gigabyte Z86-UD3
8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Ram
i6-2600 @ 3.4GHZ
