So, I just finished building my computer. Took me some time for everything to work out but I made it.
Windows, drivers on, internet working etc.

I then go buy crysis 2 to test my new build, install it, patch it (no directx11 patch) and play it...
laggy 8 FPS. on high quality, 1920x1080

I decided to look at my core speed, which was 1,6 rather than the stock 3,3 (2500k)

I tried to overclock it using the motherboard (z68x ud3h b3) application. tried 3.6 and it crashed after a while, tried 3.4 (which is the sock I just had to click on a thing to make it so. Crashed after a while. Then crysis stops working and the computer keep crashing.

I'm new to all this so I really need some advice

So I've been testing and playing with my computer for a while, test stability temperature and all. Everything seems to go well, no more crash, I've been playing SC2 on Extreme with around 80 fps or more, depending on multiplayer or campaign.

I didn't try to install crysis 2 again, I don't want to crash my computer again.

temperature for gpu in sc2 went over 60c CPU stays at around 40c.

Oc'ing is for a little here and there fun, there is absolutely no reason to oc a 2500k for any gaming or multimedia purpose right now. The RMA's that I read about on Newegg and the like is partly down to not oc'ing correctly and also oc'ing a system out the box.

In all likelihood it is an unstable overclock, I have not seen driver related issues by Nvidia for a very long time now.

Well, miracle happened, I was able to install a clean version of windows and everything is working. It's even working better than before the crash. Is it possible that having two GTX 560 ti in sli is causing many crashes?
